Напротив, това са нови доказателства, които доизясняват и допълват без да отричат досегашната историография.
Ето данните за славяните например:
In human genetics, Haplogroup R1a1 (M17) is a Y-chromosome haplogroup that is spread across Europe.
In Europe, the highest frequencies are found in Central and Eastern Europe. Today it is found at its highest levels in Poland (56%), Ukraine (54%), and Russia, where one out of two men has this haplogroup. Relatively high frequencies are also found among the ethnic Sorbs (63%) in Germany. The frequency of Haplogroup R1a1 ranges from 56.4% of the population in Poland and 54% in Ukraine, to 15.2% in Macedonia, 14.7% in Bulgaria and 12.1% in Herzegovina. Haplogroup R1a1 may be connected to the spread of Proto-Slavs.
However, southern Slavic populations such as Serbians, Macedonians, Bulgarians, and Bosnians are separated from the tight cluster of Slavic populations. According to the authors this phenomenon is explained by “the contribution of the Y chromosomes of peoples who settled in the region before the Slavic expansion to the genetic heritage of Southern Slavs.”
