vDHCP наистина е платена
адресите са ти от вида 169.254.х.х, защото по подразбиране когато не е открит DHCP сървър, автоконфигурирането раздава адреси в тая област. dude_78 ти го е казал по-горе.

If a DHCP server is not reached after 60 seconds or the lease on the IP address expires, Windows 2000 Professional will either use the setting defined in the Alternate Configuration or use APIPA to automatically generate a unique IP address in the range 169.254.0.1 through 169.254.255.254 (with a subnet mask of 255.255.0.0). This range of IP addresses is reserved by the Internet Assigned Number Authority (IANA) and they are not used on the Internet.
