Triple H-The New Undisputed Champ
Triple H vs. Chris Jericho (Undisputed Title
Triple H comes out to a live performance of the Forceable Entry version of his song. The Y2J Countdown hits 0.00, and The Undisputed Champion, the Living Legend, the Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla, Chris Jericho makes his entrance! He and Stephanie march down the ramp for this, the Main Event of WrestleMania X8!
Jericho starts off, immediately looking to attack Triple H's thouroughly taped quad. Jericho grabs the leg, but Trips clubs him off and backs away. Trips sidesteps Jericho and punches him in the face. Back body drop by Triple H, then a clothesline, and another.
Jericho chops Triple H out of the corner, but runs into a high knee by Trips. Trips limps upon landing and Jericho back body drops him over the ropes to the outside. Jericho goes up top, but Trips gets on the apron and tosses Jericho onto the barrier outside!
On the outside, Triple H suplexes Jericho over the barrier back to ringside. Triple H pulls the monitors out of the poor Spanish announce table, but Jericho starts kicking him in the back of the theigh!
Trips escapes to the ring, but Jericho blocks him in the knee. Kicks right to the injured area, but Triple H explodes and pulls Jericho down with mounted punches. Elbows to Jericho's knee, and kicks to Jericho's theigh.
Triple H ducks a clothesline and hits Jericho with a knee stomp. Triple H applies the Figure Four on Jericho, but Steph rakes his eyes! Trips grabs Steph and pulls her on the apron, then sidesteps a charging Jericho who hits Stephanie!
Triple H pulls Steph into the ring and sets her for that anticipated Pedigree, but Jericho hits him with a missile dropkick before he can do the deed.
Jericho takes Triple H to the corner and wraps the injured leg around the ringpost. Outside, Steph kicks Triple H in the leg before Earl Hebner pulls her away.
Back in the ring, Jericho with punches to Triple H and then elbows to the leg. Jericho wrenches Triple H's quad around his neck, then a knee smash by Jericho and then another.
Again Jericho wraps Triple H's leg around the ringpost, and now Steph comes over and slaps her soon-to-be ex-husband. Jericho applies a leg lock around the ringpost!
Back in the ring, Triple H starts fighting his way up, but Jericho hits a drop toe hold and a falling leg lock. Jericho applies a step-over toe hold, using the ropes for leverage, but Triple H kicks him into the ringpost.
Falling neckbreaker by Triple H, but Jericho continues to kick away on the theigh. Clothesline by Triple H 1-2-shoulder up.
Straight punches by Trips, then the knee-to-face. Jericho runs at Triple H, but he ducks and hits a one-armed spinebuster. Again Jericho runs, and this time Triple H hits a true spinebuster 1-2-shoulder up.
Punches in the corner by Triple H, but Jericho reverses a whip and tosses him over the top to the floor below. Jericho takes the monitors out of the American announce table. As Hebner yells at Steph, Jericho takes Triple H onto the announce table.
He looks for the Walls, but Triple H is able to kick Jericho back. Now Triple H looks for the Pedigree on the table, but Jericho back body drops him through the adjacent Spanish announce table! Back in the ring, Jericho hits the Lionsault 1-2-shoulder up! 1-2-shoulder up!
Jericho goes for the Walls, but Triple H punches him and kicks him back. Jericho looks for a bulldog, but Triple H side steps him and looks for the Pedigree. Jericho punches Trips in the leg to break the hold and then applies the Walls of Jericho! Walls of Jericho on Triple H! He reaches for the ropes, but Jericho pulls him back to the center of the ring. Triple H's arm falls once, twice, thr--no!
Triple H picks himself up by his arms and crawls to the ropes! As Steph distracts Hebner, Jericho grabs a chair. Triple H boots the chair back into Jericho's face and then DDTs him into the chair 1-2-shoulder up!
As the ref check on Triple H, Steph grabs a chair and runs at Triple H. Hebner grabs the chair and screams for her to leave the ring. She shoves Hebner away, but turns right into Triple H! Trips grabs her and hits the Pedigree! Pedgiree on Stephanie!
Trips yells at Steph, but as Hebner pushes her out of the ring, Jericho nails him with a chair 1-2-shoulder up!
Jericho waits for Triple H to get up. Jericho kicks him in the gut and looks for a Pedigree! Triple H counters and catapults Jericho to the corner, but Jericho lands on the second rope. He looks for a springboard dropkick, but Triple H catches him! Pedigree to Jericho! 1-2-3!
