Do not waste your time while thinking about the meaning of life. Life has no meaning due to a simple reason: it is not a proposition. "Life" is a common name and has only significance and behind this word stands an event. Let us take an example: the proposition "John is young" In this case "..........is young" is a function and "John" is the value of the variable. So to be means to be a value of a variable, at least Quine claims it. Which is quite a nice claim and gives us the chance to go and have a can of Coke instead of trying to think about the unthinkable. Satisfied?
