По-малко чувствителност, моля :) Не нападам никого. След като ти прочетох и останалите текстове, разбрах, че представите ни за литература са диаметрално противоположни, но това няма особено значение.

Изразих съмнение към конкретни качества на книгата, които би трябвало да са едни и същи и в нея, и в трилогията на Бакър, като стила например. Аз съм много внимателен читател и отдавна съм минал възрастта на фенщината, така че съм последният, който ще хване да защитава книга на авторов принцип. Не коментирам сюжета, както забелязваш, например.

Но наистина Амазон, който е МАГАЗИН, никак не е най-удачният източник на аргументация, за разлика от сайтове, посветени конкретни на литература. Доста рисковано е човек да си базира мненията точно на ревютата там.

Всъщност се ОПИТАХ да намеря негативни ревюта, но не успях. Най-негативното беше коментарът на един пич, че не смеел да подхване книгата, защото му липсвала смелост (каквото и да значи това)... Не твърдя, че подобни отзиви няма, всъщност убеден съм, че би трябвало да има. Но не намерих. Аргументът с късното излизане в Щатите също е неориентиран. В Щатите късно излезе и "Малазанска книга на мъртвите" на Стивън Ериксън (която Бард издават в момента), а поредицата в момента е една от най-хвалените и харесвани в сферата на по-амбициозното фентъзи. ЗАЕДНО, апропо, с "The Prince of Nothing".
И понеже произволни цитати, нали, ето няколко мои (включително за фентъзи трилогията на Бакър):

Не изсипах целия тоя текст, за да се правя на умен, а защото ми поиска аргументация. Логично, няма как да аргументирам по друг начин мнение за книга, която все още не съм прочел (въпреки че си чака реда), освен с мненията на други хора. Не си направих труда да отварям Амазон, но се съмнявам да открия безкрайно различни работи от написаните горе.
