How the shifters work?
The bright side of the story is here -
The dark side was shortly and precisely described by Agentorange - the new DualControl has a feature, which I call "Automatic Bump Shifting". Under braking the fingers need only a very small amount of vertical movement (caused by bumps, jumps, hops and other funny things which are the joy and essence of MTB-riding from my point of view) and she SHITTING process begins... In addition the levers are too far from the handlebar to operate with small hands (women have no chance to shift AND brake properly, since there is NO woman-specific design or reach-adjustment feature)
VERDICT - DualControl is ONLY (if at all) suitable for XC. Shimano shoots in his own foot with this technology and for sure they will lose all the FR-Enduro people.
