WILL MORPHEUS BECOME THE TRAITOR TO THE REBELLION?
His disappointment in the inaccuracy of the prophecy and the loss of his ship could make him prone to an infection by Smith. In an interview, Laurence Fishburn stated that the role of Morpheus gave him the chance to be “Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader at the same time.”
IS NEO IN REALITY BEING HELD CAPTIVE WITHIN AN ILLUSION OF THE MATRIX?
The indicator is that Neo can sense and influence the machines. Previously, he did not have these powers outside of the Matrix. Supporting the theory is that Trinity takes control of the Merowinger. He can help release Neo from the fictitious reality before Smith destroys the Matrix.
WILL ZION AND WITH IT, THE MAJORITY OF HUMANITY BE DESTROYED?
The fact that the battle will take place on the surface indicates the destruction of the city, but the survival of many rebels. The military leader of the rebels, Lock joins the defense with his Battle-Mech at the front.
WILL NEO AND TRINITY DIE TO SAVE HUMANITY?
In one scene, Neo and Trinity will take a hovercraft and make a suicidal run directly onto a Sentinel, which then slams onto it’s hull. An intense explosion follows. Does it happen on the way to 01, the capital of the machines?
IS NEO A CAPTIVE OF THE MEROWINGER?
The kiss between Persephone and Neo could have passed a virus from the Merowinger to Neo, which could be both a curse and blessing: Power over the machines outside the Matrix as well as a chain. The Merowinger is very interested in the stability of the Matrix and Neo is the only weapon against Smith and his catastrophic spread.
WILL SMITH TAKE OVER THE ORACLE AND DISCOVER HER PEACE PLAN?
One of the first trailers shows Smith in the kitchen of the Oracle’s apartment during which he apparently discovers something pleasant. Is it the Oracle’s plan, with Neo’s help, to reach a peace between the machines and humans, which would permit the survival of both species?
WHAT ROLE DOES THE KID PLAY?
Attentive Animatrix-Fans know that The Kid is the only human that has been able free himself from the Matrix on his own volition. The only one? Anyone that remembers Part 1, knows from a conversation between Neo and Morpheus about another person that has succeeded freeing themselves. This could be the entire key to the resolution of the entire plot.
WHO DIES, WHO SURVIVES?
We’re betting our money on a bitter-sweet ending. Our prognosis: Free humanity will be saved and will join a truce with the machines. Both groups will work on rebuilding the living space on earth. The fallen heroes will be re-created as programs within the Matrix, their surviving loved ones will let themselves be reconnected.
