HHH's Take On nWo, Undertaker/Hulk Hogan, Chris Jericho's WrestleMania Role, Steve Blackman Injured

-- At WrestleMania.com, the WWF is already advertising Triple H vs. Chris Jericho for Y2J's Undisputed WWF Championship at the main-event for the Toronto-based extravaganza. Although nothing should be read into this as Jericho can still lose the title at anytime from now until March. It does however lead one to believe that the WWF is serious in attempting to establish Chris Jericho as a top-tier player in the WWF.

-- Triple H and Undertaker, the WWF's "locker room" leaders have been, for the most part, fine with the return of Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Hulk Hogan to the WWF roster. Undertaker respects Hulk Hogan enough to be fine with the fact that if he is brought in he will be shot to main-event status instaneously. Triple H has a notable history with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall as friends, and ensures management that the trio will not play the political warefar backstage in the WWF. In fact, Triple H has stated that although he is friends with the two, he does not want to be a part of the returning nWo stable. HHH may be a focal point of the squad, playing one of the nWo's primary opposition. This would relate to the Stephanie/Triple H dissension lately leading to Stephanie joining back up with her father, Vince McMahon.

-- Steve Blackman, who continues to work with the WWF developmental territories, may need surgery from two herniated discs in his back and a bone spur pushing into his spinal cord. This merely puts any chances of him being brought back to the main roster on delay yet again.

-- Perry Saturn continues to earn the reputation of a "jobber stomper" from matches on Jakked/Metal with local and developmental talent. A situation occured at the Dec. 21st RAW tapings in Miami, FL. that showed Saturn working overly stiff with Larry Brannon, who works as Vito Denucci of the New Heavenly Bodies. Early in the match Saturn caught Brannon with a stiff elbow shot to the head. This caused Brannon to miss a spot shortly there after which resulted in Saturn worker even more stiff with the young performer the rest of the match. The WWF locker room felt Brannon made the right political move by not selling Saturn's legitimate attack in the ring.

-- The XWF may have closed in on a television deal according to various sources. Talks with the FX network have shown positive to XWF management leading many to believe they will offer them a slot in the coming weeks. The FX network apparently is also interested in buying into the company itself. If sessions fall flat between the XWF and the FX network, the XWF has ties with a second network which is apparently nothing new to the pro wrestling scene (not believed to be the USA network). This would leave only two main options, TBS, and TNT, both of which are unlikely to play out. The XWF hopes to have a television deal to announce prior to their NATPE convention, which will take place Jan. 21-25 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
