Schumacher Breaks Mugello Lap Record Again Sunday February 27th, 2000 Ferrari continued testing today at Mugello, with Michael Schumacher spending the day working on adjusting the car's setup and aerodynamics. He ran a total of 71 laps, with a best time of 1:24.705 - improving the track record his himself set by over a tenth of a second (1:24.850). When he had finished work he had this to say: "The car behaved the way I expected it to. I worked mainly on set up and the adjustments we found are sending us in the right direction. The wind gave us a few problems during the session. Today was a good day and tomorrow we will concentrate on a long run test." Tomorrow, Michael Schumacher continues testing at Mugello.
