Business to Consumer - B2C E-Commerce
Build a shopping cart for eight (8) consumer products. The payment type will be Credit Card (Visa, AMEX, MasterCharge) and each order will be processed manually. In the future (based on sales volume) VeriSign may be used for automatic credit card processing. The order will be emailed to Benjamin Obdyke and stored in a SQL database with a spread sheet export.
The shopping cart must have web-based administration to add/remove and modify products, product descriptions, prices, shipping and tax information. Most of the product will be shipped via freight carrier with specific rates based on shipping zones. All product will ship from PA. The products have a fixed SKU and price.
Distributor Only – B2B Directory
This area of the site will require a Username and Password. Benjamin Obdyke will be responsible for providing Usernames and Passwords to each Distributor. This directory will contain Contact Information, Promotions and an Order Form (no pricing) for Distributors. The Order Form has to be programmed with Bill To, Ship To and only the Products they are authorized to buy (based on Username). The Order Information has to be emailed to Benjamin Obdyke in a format that can be printed and submitted through their standard order process (as if it was a faxed order). This directory will have administrative access to add/delete/modify usernames, passwords and authorized products (on-line selection with check boxes).
Registration
A Registration Page needs to be programmed to allow users to enter personalized information and request NewsLetters, Promotions, New Product Announcements, Company Information and other information. The fields will include First Name, Last Name, Company, Address, City, State, Zip, Phone, Fax, Email, Customer Type (Contractor, Distributor, Home Builder, Architect, Home Owner).
The information will get e-mailed to the customer and the information will be stored in a database. Currently, we have web access to download a .csv file of the data including a "heading" field.
Dealer Locator
This application will allow a user to enter a Zip Code and Driving Distance (in Miles) and will provide a listing of Dealers within the distance radius. This application also requires administrative access to add/delete/modify Dealers.
The dealer addresses will be supplied to you in Excel. I need your recommendation for a program (Map Quest or other) that will allow a user to enter their Zip Code and a distance to drive. Using this data, the program will supply one or more of the dealers that fall within that distance radius.
