Трансферът на Рейес

The Premiership leaders revealed on Wednesday they would pay an initial 10.5m for the 20-year-old, with 7m to follow depending on appearances.
Става дума за млн. паунда.
Общо взето и на друго место прочетох за почти същите параметри на сделката тъй че това трябва да е относително достоверно.
Сега плащаме само 10 млн. лири.

This just shows that Arsenal have the dest deal makers, manager and players in Europe, Up The Gunners!!
Ben Gold, London

What a signing. Arsenal get one of the greatest young talents on the planet and Man U get Saha!!!!
Simon, Eastbourne

He is not Fernando Torres, or even Javi Alonso though is he? Would be suprised if he settled at Arsenal with all that french arrogance flying around. Another signing from the great Arsene Wenger who never makes a mistake in the transfer market (Francis Jeffers, Richard Wright...)
Martin, York

Never really heard of him before I saw on skysports.com that Arsenal might be signing him. I was a bit shocked at the transfer fee until I read the posts on this page. If he is as good as everyone here is saying all I can say is bring it on Man Utd and Chelsea!
Ashley, Worcester

I'm going to change the tone a bit here, like a typical pessimistic Gooner. I just think we shouldn't expect too much out of Reyes straight away seeing as he is only 20. However, by signing him now we have allowed him the rest of the season and the entire summer to adapt which means come next season he should blossom very nicely!!
Alex, London

I think that this signing is one of the best in Arsenal's history and the 20 year old could even be the next Henry!
Sunny , London

Reyes is a fantastic talent, but let's not forget that it will take some time for him to find his feet in The Premiership. Once he does however, WATCH OUT! This kid is as good as everyone says he is. A great coup for Arsenal Football Club.
Shaun Lacey, Connecticut, USA

Beware title rivals, Reyes will make the future bright for The Gunners.
Mohammed Hazari, London E5 8PA

He is an excellent signing. Now let the others fear us even more!
Michalis Michaelides, Newcastle

No doubt, he has got a fantastic talent. But don't expect to see much of him in the near future. He will need time to settle in. In Wenger he has got a manager who will get the most out of him. Lucky Arsenal- in Reyes and Cesc they have got the biggest prospects of Spanish football in their ranks.
Markus, Austria

Imagine Reyes, Henry, Pires, Bergkamp, Vieira, Ljungberg coming at you. Skill, pace, class, poetry, strength and guts.
Tom Barry, London

What a signing by Mr Wenger! I feel this player could be the difference in Arsenal's season, after seeing his fantastic technique and ability in La Liga. 20 million though, is that too much?
Chris, Calne

A fantastic buy. Adding Reyes to a team already brimming with talent and backed by Wenger and Dein can only mean good things for us.
Ross, Peterborough

As the wise Martin Tyler would say "Absolutely brilliant!" Arsene Wenger never ceases to amaze me with his utter intelligence and remarkable managerial skills. He may well have bought our beloved Gunners an unprecedented four trophies this season by signing Reyes. Such a mouth watering future for the North London outfit.
Emmanuel, Melbourne, Australia

As a Man United fan, it's not often I say this, but we've been had on this one!! Arsenal get Reyes and we get Louis Whatshisname for 12m - looks like a waste to me!! Reyes looks like a really good player - well worth the cash!! something for us to think about, hey Mr. Ferguson?!
Ruud, Manchester

What defence thinks they can stop us now. Him and Henry up front so look out. I thought we had no money as well. Sweet!
Dave, Woking

On behalf of all the Ugandan Arsenal fans, I feel that the sighning of prodigy Jose Reyes, just made the Premiership better and football fans (read Arsenal) are in for a footballfest.
Henry Muwaga, Kampala-Uganda

I am a Manchester United and this news worries me a great deal. Coming from Spain, I have seen this kid play quite a lot, and all i can say is he is one hell of a player.
Kabelo Moyo, Manchester

Another great buy from Mr Wenger, sure to make Man Utd and Chelsea sit up and take notice that we can spend money if we need to. Welcome to the best football team in Europe. Reyes I'm sure you will fit in lovely!!!
Richard Anderson, Havant

A great signing, a few people maybe starting to 'over-hype' him on here though. It's a whole load of money when you consider that Liverpool got Le Tallec (the player who won player of the tournament in the youth world cup) for just 3.5 mill. So yes he is a great player.......but it's a heap load of money!
Steve, Guernsey

Arsene is simply a genius...we are lucky to have him at Arsenal...he simply signs the best players for a club that isn't the financially strongest in England let alone Europe.
Soji Odegbaro, Lagos Nigeria

Seen him play against Barca this season and he is quality, never heard of him before that game and a friend told me before the game to watch for him. No need to watch he shone, very quick, and will probably say he will become a massive player for Arsenal..
Wolfgang, Barca

Absolutely stunning, the best young player on the planet. And if ther's one man who can make him the world's best player it's Wenger, he's a crafty old fox though, this came out of nowhere!
Thomas Fawcett, Jr, Brixton

Simply the best young left winger in the world. A great player who will be very exciting to watch , he destroyed Real Madrid and with Sevilla, no offence.A great buy!!!
Gareth, Newport

Having spent six months in Spain last year I can confirm that Reyes is one of the most exciting young prospects I have seen in football. Spain will be loathe to lose him from their league and we should rejoice that we will see this talent week in week out in The Premiership.
Timboyd, London

Wenger has couped again another superb signing. The added bonus is that he can play in the Champions League.
Rob Bell, Middlesbrough

What a signing! He is sure to strengthen our squad.
Nick Duxon, Shepperton

I am sure he is going to be a great signing for Arsenal. He is still very young and he is an amazing talent. And Arsene hardly never makes mistakes in transfer market.
Ville Jylhä, Kokkola, Finland

The greatest signing in Arsenal and Premiership history. I saw this guy against Real Madrid. He nutmegged Figo and co. many times. Figo committed more fouls on this kid than against any other player or team in his whole career. More tricks and intelligence and more mature than his age and Man U's Ronaldo. Simply the BEST. It's about time Arsenal pressed on their advantage. He is Awesome.
Deano, London

This is a bigger signing than most people will realise, this lad is hotter than Wayne Rooney and the fee will look like peanuts after Euro 2004. And they said Arsenal had no money!
Jo Rogers, Peterborough

Quality player who will only get better with age. Future star for the Spanish national team!
Mr Singh, Banbury

Arsenal just signed the best 20-year-old player in the world. Arsenal are the most progressive club in the country and we owe this two men, Arsene Wenger and the man who backs him David Dein. The Premiership just made a huge leap in quality compared to La Liga.
Tom Kitch, London

Wow, i thought we had no money, the lad looks pure class from what I've seen on La Liga highlights. Could be this be the signing that takes us to a complete trophy haul?
Jason, Manchester

Ето кратко описание на играча (мнението е на един бивш мениджър):

Reyes, who was given a hero's send-off by hundreds of fans as he left Sevilla's stadium for London on Tuesday evening, has caught the eye for a number of reasons:

He plays in white boots with pace and flair, and is always keen to take players on, often several in a row.

Spain's best-selling sports newspaper, Marca, described him as "quite simply a superstar, spectacular - dribbling, magic, vision and goals wrapped in one".

His exuberant skills have made him the most fouled player in Spain.

He was instrumental in Sevilla's 4-1 thrashing of Real Madrid this season.

Reyes: What A Buy!
I hate Arsenal as much as the next man, but my lord, they've pulled one out of the bag here. Reyes is quite simply the best young footballer in the world. He's a Spanish international regular already, and has the talent to be better than Raul. Speak to anyone who knows the slightest bit about European football and they will tell you of this guy's unbelievable skill.

Can't wait for the one-eyed xenophobic comments (led undoubteldly by ITV's Premiership panel) that he's an "unknown quantity", and "not worth the money".

Where did they get the cash from though?
Paul Turrall

...Reyes is definitely worth the nine million up front or so. There is no clearer young talent in Spain, except maybe Vicente. This lad is really something.

I have watched Reyes mesmerise opposition defenders and this can only mean the dawn of a new era for Arsenal FC. I can see him fitting right into the team as his playing style is very much the flowing, beautiful game Arsenal play.

Arsenal are already close to unstoppable as it is and I cannot bear to imagine what will happen to ManYoo when they meet next time around. I hate to admit it but Arsene Wenger is the shrewdest manager in the English game (forget Gilberto Silva and Wiltord. We have done worse with Kleberson and Forlan).

Saha for 12.825 million in a depressed market? Sir Alex should really be thinking about retirement. I am starting to believe rumours that he is held at gunpoint whenever a deal is being tabled.

This transfer really pains me as a ManYoo fan as all our transfers put together can never hope to rival this. Whenever I see Darren Fletcher, Kleberson and David Bellion starting for United, I am filled with despair and forgive me for comparing them with Arsenal's midfield.

Sir Alex may have visions about a new batch of fledglings whenever he pleases but when Scholes, Giggs and Keane are gone, he will wish he hadn't planned so far ahead. All the best to Reyes!
Lim Kien Yen, ManYoo fan

...I'm pretty astounded by Arsenal's signing of Reyes. Where have they got the money from?! I'm astounded, but also, as a United fan, more than a little worried.

I saw the 4-1 game against Real Madrid and it is no exaggeration to say that he absolutely destroyed them, he even had the job done and dusted before half-time. The Real defenders didn't have a clue how to stop him, one poor sod got taken off after about 25 minutes and was in tears! Actually crying! I have never seen anything like it.

He's being described as a left-sided player but I could see Wenger moving him into the middle a la Henry. Them two together up front? Bloody hell.

Is he worth it? If Louis Sahahaha is worth 13million then this kid is a bargain.

Jamie Stewart, a worried (and slightly annoyed we haven't got him) United fan
P.S. He was actually crying!

...Having lived abroad in Sevilla, I became a fan of the club bearing the city's name. Though Reyes was just a 17-18 year old, his talent was there for all to see. The fans wore their Reyes shirts to every game, and sang his name passionately.

He was playing on the wing then, but still was their best player. He did not look out of depth amongst the Galacticos of Madrid, further shown by his awe-inspiring performance against Real this year. With the added freedom he'll be given with Arsenal, all others beware.

I believe Wenger has made a great signing, a la Henry, and will turn the boy into a true attacking force. Matching him with the already potent trio of Henry, Pires and Ljungberg will give Arsenal a front four that will be the finest in England, and a challenger for finest in Europe.

The boy will ensure Arsenal stays successful in the future, but he will give them that extra push now. I just wish Liverpool's manager could have the same vision as Wenger.
Matt Lapish, Liverpool/Sevilla FC fan, USA

...It's good news that we now have Reyes - I hear he can play as a striker which is good as it will take some of the pressure off Henry. I was quite suprised though that Arsenal forked out about 20-30 million for him, but with him and Henry up front Arsenal can now make a serious challege on Europe.
Nigel Yates

Trust Arsene To Get It Right
I have watched him a few times and he has looked very dangerous. Whether he is worth that much money only time can tell, but surely Arsene has always had good feeling about young players - just look at the current squad and what the players were when they were bought.

Also, it is good to have a new face in the dressing room and this will give a big lift for the title run - and don't forget that he can play in the CL.
Boghos Chavoushian

...I never thought I would live to see the day where Arsene Wenger spends 20m on a player. Although signing Reyes has not come as a surprise, Arsene splashing out 20m is, in my opinion, the most shocking thing he has ever done.

He was desperate to save up all the money til the summer and then spend it on two or three major signings, but instead he couldn't wait for the summer and wasted it all on one player. This is not the Arsene Wenger I know.

But, I have seen Reyes showcase his talents in La Liga, destroy teams with unbelievable pace and skill. This guy is one of the most talented players around right now, and he looks like he's better than Thierry Henry when Thierry was 20. I see a very very bright future for Reyes. And I have a feeling Arsene is going to do to him exactly what he did to Thierry - make him the world's best player within three-four years.

This guy is no 'fox in the box' He will not just hang out next to the opposition's goalkeeper all day long, i.e he is no Van Nistelrooy - he loves to have the ball outside the area, he can make world-class defenders look like drunk monkeys and he has one hell of a left foot.

Alex Ferguson watch out - this guy is so fast he'll beat your horse in a race! Cummon Arsenal!
Rukan Sabano, Dubai

...Oh glory be, these are heady days for Gooners. And which one of us is going to say that the money would have been better spent on some flasher facilities at the new ground. I wake up every morning and thank God (Wenger) I was born a Gooner.
Adrian O'Sullivan

But Where Is The Money Coming From?
As an Arsenal fan I am absolutely delighted with the capture of the 'Spanish sensation' Reyes from Sevilla, yet, I believe this signing raises a number of fundamental issues, and questions that all Gooners would like an answer to.

Firstly, why have Arsenal claimed to be impoverished due to the noose that is Ashburton Grove, and then paid a reported 20million pounds for an unproven youngster?

Secondly, is there now a problem with the Ashburton Grove project, allowing some of the funds from it to be passed on to improve the team?

Why is the fee 'undisclosed?'

Like most Arsenal fans I have the upmost faith in Arsene Wenger, and trust his judgement implicitly. However, it is just so out of character for such a usually prudent man, to splash the cash so excessively, that questions are inevitable.
Gary Haines, London

He's Very Good, But...
I live in Spain, so watch a lot of football here, in particular Sevilla. Although Reyes clearly has all the talent in the world, he is also what I (or more likely my dad) would call a 'John Barnes' player. Fantastic today and hopeless next week.

I saw him the night Sevilla thrashed Real Madrid 4-1 and he looked like the best player ever, making Pavón (admittedly not a full-back) look like a schoolboy, and totally outshining "los Galacticos", but three weeks later against Zaragoza he barely contributed anything, just picking up free-kicks.

By signing for Arsenal he is joining a lot more such players (Ljungberg, Pires, Gilberto, Wiltord, Kanu etc) who can have long spells of mediocrity with occasional bursts of brilliance, and my fear for him is that he might fall into the category of the latter two at the club - ie sub. However, I might be wrong - I support Everton, and we have the less-than-world-class Lee Carsley on our left wing.

There was also a statistic in Marca (Spanish sports daily) the other day that said only Figo was fouled more than him in the first half of the Liga season, and no-one caused more defenders to get booked. As referees in Spain are rather more prone to give free-kicks to so-called "flair" players than they are in England, I'm also worried that he'll spend a lot of time "doing a Cristiano Ronaldo" and unsuccessfully appealing for free kicks.

But the lad is young, he is seriously quick and he's got a superb left foot. We'll see, but I think he needed another season in Spain before he moved to the Premiership.
Andrew Jennings, Granada, Spain

Навсякъде където има цифра и зад нея мил. става дума за млн. паунда.

Сега коментара на ГОСПОД т.е. моя :)

Прав си, че не трябва да очакваме чудеса още със стъпването му на терена.
