OMC chart positions

For the week ending November 1st, Michael Jackson's "One More Chance" inches up 60-59 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. Since the song remained in test mode at certain urban and urban ac stations last week, this probably explains the stagnant chart movement. According to Radio & Records Online, the song is officially being serviced to all Urban, Urban AC, and CHR/Rhythmic Top 40 radio stations today.

Since the single is now available at three radio formats (according to RROnline) and since Michael is making his first televised public appearance tonight since the BET Awards, hopefully, we're looking at the official beginning of "One More Chance" at U.S. radio.

2 B or not 2 b... Aaaaah! That's not a question!!!

Michael

I DO love u, Michael !

According to Radio And Records, for the week ending October 31st, 2003, Michael Jackson's "One More Chance" was the second most added song at Urban AC radio stations with a total of 16 new Urban AC radio stations adding the song to their playlist (the highest adds went to Musiq's "Forthenight" with 20 adds.) Elsewhere, the song achieved the second highest adds at Urban radio with a total of 42 new radio stations adding it to their playlist (once again, Musiq nabbed the highest adds at this format with 60 stations adding his song).

On the Urban AC Top 30 chart, "One More Chance" has jumped 24-21 with a total of 276 spins. The song has not yet entered the Urban Top 50.

Note: Although Radio and Records listed "One More Chance" as going for adds at CHR/Rhythmic Top 40 stations last week, the song was not among the Top 5 records added at this format last week which leads me to believe that Epic/Sony have not fully serviced the track to CHR/Rhythmic Top 40 radio stations yet. Instead, they are still concentrating on the Urban market.

One More Chance has entered the German Radio Charts at No. 41 after just one week - a great success! Besides the remixes by Paul Oakenfold and Ron G., there are more Urban Remixes on 12" Vinyl (e.g. Ford Mix), which will be raffled off at sonymusic.de in a few weeks. At michaeljackson.co.uk a similar raffle already started: Visit the page and enter your details to win one of five bags, which include very rare, limited edition Michael Jackson box sets, which were never made commercially available. The UK promotion only box set is embossed with the MJ shoes logo and includes the Off The Wall, Thriller, Bad and Dangerous special edition album re-masters which feature a number of never before heard tracks, interviews, demos and outakes. Each swag bag will also include rare 12" vinyl promos, CD single promos for 'One More Chance', photo prints and more. By the way: You may now download the Paul Oakenfold Remix for 0,99$ at the Sony Music Store. And there are even more good news: In Germany, the album will be promoted massively at the TV channel RTL, with posters at advertising columns and with a big online campaign etc. RTL is moreover also working on a TV special. Some changes were made to the European track list, according to Sony Music Germany.

For the week ending November 8, 2003, Michael Jackson's "One More Chance" holds at #59 for the second week on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart.

Have you felt the frost in the Fire?

This from this week's Music Week:

19 Michael Jackson

Exploding 47-19 on the airplay chart this week, One More Chance is Michael Jackson's fastest growing radio hit since You Are Not Alone in 1995. The R. Kelly penned tune registered 760 plays last week, including 18 from Radio Two, where it ranks joint most-played alongside the Pet Shop Boys' Miracles and Matt Goss' I'm Coming With Ya. These plays provide well over hald the 30m audience the record garnered last week. Radio One, meantime has still to playlist the record at all.

Radio One!!!
