Имам IBM NetVista 8311-22G
Което на практика е Celeron 1.8 Ghz с дъно: Intel(R) 82845G

Искаш да си инсталирам RedHat 9.0.
Всичко добре само дето не ми позна видео контролера.

т.е. Каза че е Intel 845 но X Server-a не тръгва.

Пробваш с драйверите на Intel:

не знам дали ще ти е от полза информацията, но аз съм със същия чипсет, мандрейк 9.1 със стандартния X 4.3 от инсталацията

Х работи със стандартния за МДК 9.1 Х (4.3) и с модула за интел 845
режим 1280х1024
хориз. обновяване 91кHz
верт. обновяване 85 Hz (kakto e и с win драйвера за чипсета)


Също, направи ми впечатление, че в твоя лог имаше нещи за модула pcidata, който е компилиран за 4.2.0, ако това се отнася за версията на Х, може да се сгъбясва от него нещо

най-добре дръпни най-новите пакети за Х от update.redhat.com и пробвай пак
