еми пооптимизирай го малко. Хардуера не е чак толкоз лош!

Избери си антивирусна, която да не гълта много и в същото време да е добра. Например F-Prot за Windows.

Socket Error 1006x
Make sure your internet connection is OK, (if using proxy server, please make sure that all the setting are correct). The problem might have been caused by connecting using too many Jets, do not try to download too many file simultaneously. If the error occur in only part of the sites, it's probably because the site is down, download the file at an other time.

Slow network access not always due to Scheduled tasks check - New
Views: 660 - 2/13/2002 - For: XP Pro and Home
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----

If you have very slow access to your network computers through "My network Places" and have already deleted the Registry entry calling for a check of Scheduled Tasks on the other network computers (documented elsewhere on this
site) AND you have multiple network adaptors (i.e. a cable or DSL connection through one NIC and an internal network using a second NIC) check the following.

Right click on "My Network Places", go to properties. Right click on the NIC that your cable/DSL connects to, and chose properties. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and click on properties. Click on "advanced", go to "WINS" tab, and chose Disable NetBios over TCP/IP.

When you are back at your Network Connections page, right click on the Broadband selection, chose "properties" click on the networking tab. Again, chose TCP/IP, properties, advanced, WINS, and select "disable NetBios over TCP/IP"

Worked for me!

BTW, I don't use ICS (can never get it configured right) and instead use Sygate for my Connection Sharing, so I can't verify that with ICS netbios is enabled in the broadband connection and the modem NIC.The Wizard might catch it, but take a look just in case.

Secondlevel Datacache(L2Cache) is very important for the performance of CPU. Normally winXP should recognize your CPU and the value of the L2Cache. However, sometimes XP can't do this. So you must tweak it by yourself to improve the performance:

1. run "regedit"; 2. goto "[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\SecondLevelDataCache"; 3. modify its value by decimalism: AMD
Duron: 64(kb); CeleronA/celeron2:128; PII mobile/PIII E(EB)/P4/AMD K6-3/AMD THUNDERBird/Cyrix III:256; AMD K6-2/PII/PIII katmai/AMD Athlon:512; PII Xeon/PIII Xeon:1024; 4. reboot.

There was a bug in windows 2000 that would cause the scheduled tasks folder to be searched when ever the user would browse network drives. Microsoft developed a fix for this bug. The fix fixed the problem and it also had nice side affect of speeding up browsing of Microsoft networks. Below are instructions how to apply the fix.
1. Open up regedit. 2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current
Version/Explorer/RemoteComputer/NameSpace. 3. Find a key named {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}. 4. Right click on it and delete it. 5. Restart

8. 4 or 5 boxes will appear, highlight the system.ini box

9. Under the [386enh] add the following exactly..

10. Irq[n]=4096, where "[n]" is the number irq of your network card.

4096 is the recommended ram to reserve in kilobytes.

11. So it will look something like this Irq10=4096.

12. Save changes in the file and reboot for effect...

This tweak was from the help of [линк]. Some people with a cpu of over 500MHz had an increase of only up to 10%. Therefore it is a controversial tweak thats talked about. Hence, most likely they would be online gamers.

Be sure NOT to overdue the amount of ram because it will have little or no effect at all. Most of you probably won't notice much effect anyway but it's worth a try. This tweak is assumingly okay for all Windows users. Afterward, go to [линк] to test your internet throughput and see what they recommend to change your RWIN. Peace, and happy tweakin'

Speed up browsing with DNS catch - New
Views: 660 - 2/13/2002 - For: XP Pro and Home
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----

when you connect to a web site your computer sends information back and forth, this is obvious. Some of this information deals with resolving the site name to an IP address, the stuff that tcp/ip really deals with, not words. This is DNS information and is used so that you will not need to ask for the site location each and every time you visit the site. Although WinXP and win2000 has a pretty efficient DNS cache, you can increase its overall performance by increasing its size.
You can do this with the registry entries below:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Dnscache\Parameters]
"CacheHashTableBucketSize"=dword:00000001
"CacheHashTableSize"=dword:00000180 "MaxCacheEntryTtlLimit"=dword:0000fa00
"MaxSOACacheEntryTtlLimit"=dword:0000012d

make a new text file and rename it to dnscache.reg. The copy and paste the above into it and save it. Then merge it into the registry

Super fast user switching
Written By: Evert Mouw < [email protected] > | Authors Website: Visit | Views: 21615 | Print Tweak | 11/7/2001

(EXPERIENCED USERS ONLY)
Super fast user switching is a powertoy which makes it easy to switch the active user. But you must be a member of the administrator group to see other users! Quite useless for normal users, but this is done on purpose. I contacted Lou, the programmer of fast.exe, and he said (quote):
"It actually has to do with permissions. As a regular user, you don't have access to the (InteractiveLogon) service. This is because I didn't want to open another hole in Windows. This is unavoidable."
The solution opens a hole, but makes super fast user switching usable. THIS IS ONLY FOR EXPERIENCED USERS!
1. remove task.exe from the local_machine ~ windows ~ run registry entry (you can use start --> run --> msconfig for that)
2. create a fast.cmd file wich contains the line below: runas /noprofile /env /savecred /user:YOURMACHINE\Administrator "c:\windows\system32\fast.exe" replace YOURMACHINE by your machine name
3. copy fast.cmd to your windows directory
4. make a shortcut to c:\windows\fast.cmd, let the shortcut run minimized
5. copy the shortcut to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
You have to run fast.cmd manually one time for each user to supply the administrator password. This has to be done only once.
This solution won't work for XP home edition because that edition won't store the security credentials.
For your information: the user process fast.exe will communicate with the service task.exe to perform it's task. Meddling with the fast -service properties won't work (I tried...).
Don't do this on production systems, it's meant for home use where security is less important.
Happy user switching!

8) Disabling Windows File Protection
From Jeremy Collake, as noted at iexbeta.cjb.net
[email protected] [линк]

Summary: Undocumented registry setting allows for
Windows File Protection (aka System File Checker)
to be fully disabled.

HowTo: Set the SFCDisable value (see Q222473) to
0xffffff9d.

Ok, after spending 6 hours in the guts of sfc.dll, sfcfiles.dll,
and winlogon.exe I have *finally* discovered how to permanently
disable windows file protection. The more I dug into the internals
of SFC, the more I began to think that it would not be as easy as
I first thought it would be - and indeed Microsoft does not want it
to be easy. Windows File Protection, while annoying, does provide
a good degree of system stability and even some level of virus/trojan
protection by preventing system files from being modified without
at least notifying the user. Therefore, I was *very* shocked when
I was looking through a disassembly of sfc.dll and came to the code
that checks the value of the SfcDisable in the WinLogon key.
I see in the code of ordinal 1 (which is the initialization function
that winlogon calls), sticking out like a sore thumb, this:

76986A89 push 1
76986A8B cmp eax, ebx
76986A8D pop esi
76986A8E jz loc_76986B97
76986A94 cmp eax, esi
76986A96 jz loc_76986B7A
76986A9C cmp eax, 2
76986A9F jz loc_76986B69
76986AA5 cmp eax, 3
76986AA8 jz short loc_76986AE0
76986AAA cmp eax, 4
76986AAD jz short loc_76986ACF
76986AAF cmp eax, 0FFFFFF9Dh
76986AB2 push ebx
76986AB3 jz loc_76986B86
76986AB9 push offset byte_76981898
76986ABE push edi
76986ABF call sub_7698877D
76986AC4 mov dword_769901D4, ebx
76986ACA jmp loc_76986B97

Ok, values 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 are documented at
[линк] , but
what the heck is this 0ffffff9dh value that it accepts?! As you can
see, any value other than 0,1,2,3,4 and 0ffffff9dh are assumed to be
zero, which is the default of SFC enabled with popups enabled. So,
without further delay, I went and plugged 0ffffff9dh into the SfcDisable
value to see what was up. Rebooted. I'll be darned, Microsoft provided
a very, very simple way to fully disable WFP!

When booting with this value in the SFCDisable value in the WinLogon
key (HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon), an
event is written to the system log, ID 64032 from Windows File
Protection, with the description:
"Windows File Protection is not active on this system. ".

All attempts to replace/delete protected system files succeeded,
just as if I were in safe mode . I rebooted a few more times and
verified that it is the one value (other than 4=popus disabled) that
is not reset to 0 after the first boot.

Needless to say, this is not what Microsoft intended.

Jeremy Collake

[линк]

Addendum 7:37pm 6/24/00:
SFCDisable value 3 was not documented like I thought it was. This
value performs some check for setup.exe or sfctest.exe. WFP does
appear to end up enabled. Have not had a chance to look into it further.

Disable unnecessary programs
Installing many programs on you computer can often clutter your registry with unnecessary programs running when your computer starts up. This will slow down your machine and take up memory.

Start Regedit. If you are unfamiliar with regedit please refer to our FAQ on how to get started.
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Once there, locate any entry's on the right. You can identify the program by the path to the executable. Find programs that you can live without starting up from the list.
Right click on them and select Delete
You may also want to navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Runonce and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

Unload .dll's to Free Memory
Written By: allen | Views: 49310 | Print Tweak | 12/5/2001

Windows Explorer caches DLLs (Dynamic-Link Libraries) in memory for a period of time after the application using them has been closed. This can be an inefficient use of memory.

1. Find the key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer].
2. Create a new DWORD sub-key named 'AlwaysUnloadDLL' and set the default value to equal '1' to disable Windows caching the DLL in memory.
3. Restart Windows for the change to take effect.

I tried this after running a intense program, then watched the task manager; memory recovered it self.

==================================================
Improve NTFS Performance
The NTFS file system is the recommended file system because of its advantages in terms of reliability and security and because it is required for large drive sizes. However, these advantages come with some overhead. You can modify some functionality to improve NTFS performance as follows:

1. Disable creation of short names. By default, NTFS generates the style of file name that consists of eight characters, followed by a period and a three-character extension for compatibility with MS-DOS and Microsoft® Windows® 3.x clients. If you are not supporting these types of clients, you can turn off this setting by changing the default value of the NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation registry entry (in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Filesystem) to 1.

2. Disable last access update. By default NTFS updates the date and time stamp of the last access on directories whenever it traverses the directory. For a large NTFS volume, this update process can slow performance. To disable automatic updating, change the value of the NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate registry entry (in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentContolSet\Control\Filesystem) to 1. If the entry is not already present in the registry, add it before setting the value. (Add it as a REG_DWORD)

3. Reserve appropriate space for the master file table. Add the NtfsMftZoneReservation entry to the registry as a REG_DWORD in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem. When you add this entry to the registry, the system reserves space on the volume for the master file table. Reserving space in this manner allows the master file table to grow optimally. If your NTFS volumes generally contain relatively few files that are typically large, set value of this registry entry to 1 (the default). Typically you can use a value of 2 or 3 for moderate numbers of files, and 4 (the maximum) if your volumes tend to contain a relatively large number of files. However, be sure to test any settings greater than 2 because these higher values cause the system to reserve a much larger portion of the disk for the master file table.

Reboot after making changes.
=======================================
Increase Network Performance and Throughput

If you increase the number of buffers that the redirector reserves for network performance, it may increase your network throughput. Each extra execution thread that you configure will take 1k of additional nonpaged pool memory, but only if your applications actually use them.

Open your registry and find the key below.

Increase system loading time by changing network settings
When you start up your computer and you are connected to a LAN and your computer is set to DHCP and your computer has to search for the DHCP server and then request and IP address and all other configuration. This process takes up some time and slows down the time it takes to boot the computer up. Following the directions below will help your set a static IP address. Even if your ISP says to use DHCP this tweak may still work for you, but you are warnned!
Click Start and click on Run.
Type command in the text box and click OK.
In DOS, type ipconfig and hit enter.
This will show you your current IPs that your NIC and PPPoE adapters have. Only pay attention to your Ethernet Card Adapter, not to the PPP adapter.
Next, right click My Network Places and select Properties from the drop down menu. This will open up the Network Connections window. In here, locate your Local Area Network connection and right click it, select Properties from the drop down menu.
When the next Window that opens up, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties at the bottom.
In the next window, click 'Use the following IP Address'. This is where that DOS window comes in handy. Copy the same exact IP Address from your Ethernet card (in the dos window) and place it where it says IP Address. Same goes for the Subnet Mask and Default Gateway. If your Default Gateway is blank, then just leave it blank. Click Ok, then Ok again.
In the DOS window type exit dos then enter. Reboot your machine.
Now there is absolutely NO loading. You can connect as soon as you see your desktop.

Quick Note: If you use DHCP (Dynamic IP Address) to connect to the net, you may find that your net connection does not work after this. So if some day your network connection stops working, just go back into the NIC card properties and select automatically get IP address and reboot.

No more ICQ banners

To remove those annoying, flashing banners at the bottom of ICQ
simply open the ICQ folder with windows explorer. C:\Program Files\ICQ
Delete the file "ICQHttp.dll"
Do not delete "ICQHttp .dll" (note the space)
Re-start ICQ and --**no banners**-- ;-)

No more low disk space messages

go into registry with REGEDIT.EXE, go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\

Prevent Image and Fax Viewer From Stealing Associations (corrected full detail)

Edit (delete) this string:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\image\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandlers\ShellImagePreview]
@="{e84fda7c-1d6a-45f6-b725-cb260c236066}"

This it the actual entry, so if you want to put t back, just save the section above that is between the asterisks to a whatevername.reg file(I used notepad) then right click it and select merge.

Reinstall TCP-IP

Every experienced network guru knows that quite often the problem with a faulty network connectio is due to the TCP/IP stack being corrupted or not properly bound. Starting with WinXP Micro$oft has disabled the ability to uninstall TCP/IP. So what are you to do if you suspect that all that is needed is a clean install of the TCP/IP stack? Luckily it is fairly easy to rebuild the stack to the prsitine conditions that it was in on a clean install using the NetShell utiltiy.

Here is how:

Go to your command prompt and type the following:

netsh int ip reset [ log_file_name ]

A log file name must be specified in order to succesfully execute the netsh command. This file will log all the actions taken by netsh.

Sample:

netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

The only difference between these two is that the first will create the log in the current directory while the second specifies where tho log is to be created. After creating the log you can use notepad or any other text editor to see exactly what changes were made.

Speed up menu display

When using the start menu the you will notice a delay between different tiers of the menu hierarchy. For the fastest computer experience possible I recommend changing this value to zero. This will allow the different tiers to appear instantly.

Start Regedit. If you are unfamiliar with regedit please refer to our FAQ on how to get started.
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
Select MenuShowDelay from the list on the right.
Right on it and select Modify.
Change the value to 0.
Reboot your computer.
