Юнайтед ОПРЕДЕЛЕНО са няколко класи над лийдс, ливърпул, арсенал и всички там взети заедно, но когато имаш непостоянни блан, силвестър и бартез - гипса провалът е пълен. Жалко, все още мисля,че те ще са първи защото просто са много по-силни от другите, но бартез опропасти сезона. При по-стабилна игра отсега щеше да е ясен шампиона.

Абе чикийо заспала като неразбираш що приказваш
глупости да ти се смеем. Поредния "виден"
капацитет се изказа неподготвен.
Юнайтед били по-силни от АРСЕНАЛ ех, мечти.
То се видя кой е по-добрият. И не ми оправдавай
загубата с изявите на Бартез. Просто АРСЕНАЛ
бяха по-добри желаеха повече победата и играха
по-добре от селската бригада от Манчестър.

МЮ са няколко класи над Макълсфийлд Таун, макар да ти кажа пак ще има интрига в мача... Таун все ще стигнат до вратата а там е непредсказуемо ;)))
Как може да са няколко класи след като има 3 играча според теб(малко забрави за Гари Невил и за Денис Ъруин) с непостоянни изяви.. та това е една сериозна част от отбора...
Един отбор който е класи над преките съперници няма да има най-много голове във вратата си след един-два опашкаря... Няма да загуби преките двубои от тях и най-вече ако някой не става тотой ще е аут след 2-3 издънки... а не да се чака да мине половината сезон
Иначе ако ние не разбираме и сме пристрастни, то защо букмейкърите вече имат за фаворит за титлата Поол... :)))
Иначе още преди Оли Бартез да започне да се дъни казах на някого тук че ще плачете за Боснич, но....

Несериозно е да се твърди, че Юнайтед вече не са най-силни след като имат реални шансове за титлата, а и 5000 титли за последните 10 години:)))

Юнайтед са много по-класни от Ливърпул в момента, изключение естествено, прави защитата.

Но е факт че не са класи над другите.. не мисля че дори са класа над Арсенал Поол или Лийдс.. просто са по-равностойни няколко тима в моменти и това донякъде е добре..
А за титлите нека не говорим.. все пак футбол се играе не от 10 а от над 100 години :)))

A goalkeeper is a goalkeeper because he can’t play football,” Ruud Gullit once opined. But whether “can’t play”, in the case of Fabien Barthez, is a euphemism for either a lack of ability or the absence of outfield selection remains a moot point.


What is certain, though, is that Fabien Barthez’s longing to express himself (his own words) is threatening to undermine the illustrious careers of both goalkeeper and manager. As the initial shock waves cease to reverberate, the European press has proffered all manner of explanations and opinions on the beleaguered Barthez’s latest folly, and the resultant myriad of column inches makes heady reading.



The French press, perhaps unsurprisingly, has moved from an initial position of blithe indulgence, to one of sympathy and rehabilitation. “Saving Private Barthez,” urges the sports daily L’Equipe, but it goes on to suggest that, in keeping with the solitary nature of the profession, Barthez must “stand alone” in curbing the recidivism which haunts him.



The British tabloids, of course, have had a field day. Already a sub-editor’s dream, the not-so-fab Barthez has provided a seemingly inexhaustible supply of headlines, all loosely based on the common factors of bungling and flopping. The Sun, naturally, goes one step further, running a strap regaling “United’s cock-up king”.



One man who knows a thing or two about defensive imperviousness, George Graham, when in charge of Arsenal, regularly extolled the virtues of rearguard impassability. “The goalkeeper is the jewel in the crown and getting at him should be virtually impossible. It’s the biggest sin in football to make him do any work.”



KEEPING THE FAITH



It is on this line of thought that a lone voice of support can be heard in The Sun. Ray Clemence, former England goalkeeper and head of the goalkeepers’ union, recalls the words of legendary coach Bill Shankly who comforted the distraught ‘keeper by saying, “Don’t feel so badly about it because it had to get past 10 other players before it got past you.”



Whether Barthez, who presented Thierry Henry the task of beating just one player, concurs is open to debate. But the theme of collective responsibility is one raised by the Italian media. Only scant knowledge of the language is needed to understand, “e s’e visto primiare 3’ dopo con una goffa smanacciata”. Indeed, Barthez might be at the sharp end of criticism in England, but the Gazzetta dello Sport appears to contest that it is the high-profile triumverate of Barthez, Blanc and Veron – the little witch – who are responsible for United’s woes.



Sour grapes, perhaps, from the Italians who lost the immaculate Veron. But wait, further reading reveals that this is the view of il Times, and a quick glance at the headline “Only a witch can save United,” confirms that la Brujita still holds a place in Italian hearts. Whether Veron’s considerable talents extend to keeping goal is uncertain, but if Barthez were offered the swap, doubtless he would bite off the Argentine’s hand in his eagerness to accept.



Should he develop a taste for exotic meat products, a lifetime supply of eponymously titled butter awaits. A shrewd piece of opportunism from the supermarket Tesco’s PR department positively (polyun) saturates the British press who inform disbelieving readers that they are to approach Barthez to promote their butter.



Says a spokesman: “No one can doubt that Fabien is the ultimate butterfingers. His errors might have put him on a slippery slope with his boss Sir Alex Ferguson, but he may unwittingly have handed himself an additional contract.” A job in the tabloid press clearly awaits the author where he could team up with the person responsible for the impossibly-brilliant Mirror headline “I can’t believe it’s not Barthez”.



But it is not just the “Fliegenfanger Barthez” (Die Bild) who is being bothered by such public aberrations. Barthez lookalike Wayne Fletcher (plays in goal for a Sunday league team), according to the Mirror, “is regularly mistaken for the gormless goalie by furious fans who hurl abuse at him”.



Fans like Sun reader John Tonge of Salford, who tells the nation, from a postage stamp size portion of page 50, “There is so little margin for error at this level that this can’t go on. It is becoming a psychological thing for him, the bloke has gone to pieces.”



Spanish daily El Pais most likely enjoys only a small readership in the Salford area of Greater Manchester, but clearly Mr Tonge is cognoscente with the work of journalist John Carlin, who, in his regular column, concludes that Barthez is in dire need of “unas sesiones intensivas de psicoanalisis.”



Freud would undoubtedly blame his parents, but the Sun’s David Barnes has got there first, claiming that his mental instability stems from a financial wrangle between the ‘keeper, his former agent and, wait for it, Barthez senior.



The final word, though, goes to James Lawton in the Independent’s cultural review section (football is, after all, the new rock ‘n roll) who eloquently states - in an article entitled “The goalkeeper’s fear of losing it” - “few muddled custodians have known the Calvary being experienced by the once exuberant Barthez.”
