"Amenites are aware that the attenuation of glycation--via diet, drugs, or neutraceuticals--inhibits aging and promotes lifespan prolongation. We are aware that the Amen Fast is the foremost feature of our Regimen that results in the reduction of glycation as a consequence of curtailing circulating sugar in the serum. Observational evidence of the sort identified in this abstract indicates that exercise also inhibits the accumulation of AGEs (i.e. advanced glycation end-products). The Author has long assumed the truth of this supposition simply because exercise can conduce to tissue renewal and the renewal of tissue removes glycated proteins that have accumulated over time. This assumption was altogether theoretical, until now. For we are presently in possession of empirical evidence to undergird our theoretical postulations, sound though they certainly were. Notice that I explicitly employed the phrase '...exercise can conduce to....' This is an important point. For when individuals engage in exercise after eating they undermine the inhibition of glycation that accounts appreciably (though not entirely) for the anti-aging effect of exercise. [Note Reader: Autophagy is also augmented by exercise and autophagy, as we understand, promotes lifespan prolongation. Importantly, feeding inhibits autophagy. Therefore, frequent feeding, especially near the execution of exercise, undermines the anti-aging effect of frequent physical exertion.] Essentially what these insights indicate is that only on the Amen Regimen (or some similar system that demands day-long fasting followed by exercise, abstemious eating, appropriate supplementary agents, etc.) can ensure that the anti-aging effect of exercise is maximized. Doubtless these doctors from Denmark demonstrate that even ordinary individuals experience a decrease in the AGE-associated degeneration of tissue as a consequence of avid endurance exercise. Still, the ~20% comparative reduction (relative to controls) was identified in isolated tissue samples (i.e. integument and tendon). We can be confident that persons practicing a protocol comparable to ours would have experienced a more impressive effect, pervading all parts of the body, all tissues tested. To the credit of our conceptual kinsmen from Copenhagen, however, they do correctly contend that lifelong exercise may have a systemic anti-aging effect owing to enhancement of tissue renewal. With this contention Amenites are in accord. We must reiterate our repeated refrain that the superiority of the Amen Optimal Health Protocol is most manifest in our principle of Selective Synergism/Summation.
