Pump up the volume
Q. When I play music CDs in my CD-ROM drive, there's no sound. Any suggestions?
A. Plug a working set of headphones into the drive's headphone jack and play a CD. (Note: If your drive has a
volume control on the front, make sure it's turned up.) If the drive light blinks on and off and you hear the music
in your headphones, the drive is working. If you don't hear music in the headphones, the drive's audio circuit
may be damaged, and you might need to replace the drive.
Also, make sure that your speakers are on and connected to the appropriate jack on the back of the sound card
and that the speaker volume is turned up. Next, check Windows' volume control by double-clicking the speaker
icon in the system tray. Look for the CD and Master controls and make sure the volume is turned up. If the
volume is down or the Mute box is checked, you won't hear CD audio through the speakers.
If you still have trouble, open the PC and make sure the CD audio cable that connects the CD-ROM drive and
the sound card is securely and properly attached. If it is, try another cable. If you're really stuck, the sound
card's CD-audio input circuit may have failed, so try a different card.
probvai s druga sound karta.
