(40 (yes 40) Track CD, Punk Shit Records PUNKSHIT02)
40 tracks, 40 bands 79 minutes long what more could you ask for. The bands that appear on this CD, are mostly fast old school punk rock bands such as Dogshit Sandwich, Bug Central, Sick On The Bus etc. but there's also quite a few oldschool hardcore punk bands on here as well 'The Restarts', 'Broken', Runnin Riot', 'Strikken D.C.' etc. Though that isn't all there is, on the release are 'Shatterhand' a modern day Melodic Hardcore band from Scotland, 'Blood & Whiskey' and 'Greenland Whalefishers' who both sound like The Pogues (sorry these two bands are my least favorite on this release, not a band fan of The Pogues), The Begrudgers who play a ska/reggae influenced punk a bit like The Ruts, and right at the very end of the CD 3 bands that play melodic rocky punk 'Red Eyes', Lawndog' & 'Leash'. Most of the bands on here come from the UK, but there's a few bands from Ireland, and bands from Belgium, The Netherlands, America and as far away as Australia. All the bands on here are ok, but some are better and some really caught my attention. Here's the full tracklisting and my thoughts on each band....
