The most Supreme
There is only one who can tell you about right now. Telling you about tomorrow is a guessing game. Telling you what you were in your last lifetime is total nonsense.
But telling you what is happening in this moment - that the breath has come into you, and it’s going, and it’s coming, and you’re alive. And because you’re alive, of all the feelings that you can feel, there is one that is the most supreme.
That is called joy.
Crystal Clear
What does this existence mean to you? It cannot be explained, it can only be felt. If you just understand that, then a whole different door opens up.
Then you begin to understand. Not through explanations, but by feeling the preciousness of this life. The joy. The truest responsibility – to be in gratitude to that most magnificent power that has made it possible for you to be alive.
Not one minute. Not five minutes. Not ten minutes. But to actually feel in this life the eternal gratitude. That is what it means to be alive. Not doubt. Not confusion. That’s not being alive. Not pain. Not suffering, not misery, not darkness.
Being alive means to be crystal clear.
Feeling Existence
What have we done? We have tried to explain away everything. We want explanations. We want to explain what God is.
About 3-4 days ago, I was having an interview. And the guy was saying, “ There are so many explanations.” I said “Yes. There are.” And who is considered good? The one who can come up with the best explanation.
People want to explain god. People want to explain life. People want to explain what is good. People want to explain what is truth. People want to explain what is salvation.
These are the things that can be felt but not explained. You cannot explain what life is. You need to feel it. You cannot explain breath. You need to breathe. You cannot explain water. If you are thirsty, you need to drink it. You cannot explain food. If you are hungry, you need to eat it.
There are some things, maybe in life, they can be explained. How does an aeroplane fly? This can be explained. How does a building stay up? It can be explained. How does a bulb come on? It can be explained.
But what does this existence mean to you? It cannot be explained, it can only be felt. If you just understand that, then a whole different door opens up.
The Grand Illusion
Once again, the spring is here. Somehow, once again, on the face of this earth, the cycle continues.
What we sometimes forget – and it’s not a question of sometimes, it's most of the time. What is the variable, and what is permanent.
There is a beautiful saying - that, this illusion, this maya, it doesn’t die. This mind that goes after the illusion, it doesn’t die. What dies, is you. The hopes, they don’t die. The wants, the desires, the lusts - they don’t die. What dies is you.
When I first heard this, I was like – “What?” But then it of course made sense. Here we are. We are on this boat, that is going down this river, and somehow we have convinced ourselves – how I don’t know, but we have convinced ourselves that the boat is not moving. And every time we look up, we see the scenery changing, and we say to ourselves - “Amazing. The earth is moving.” "Look at all those trees – they are moving look at all those houses – they are moving." Because surely, surely the boat that I am in is not moving.
Here we are on the face of this earth, and we and trying to conquer the grand illusion. The maya. It will go on. It will be there as a trap for other ones far after you have gone.
All the things that we are trying to conquer, all the things that we are trying to stop. There are people who are into - conquering the mind. And it is the mind says – “Conquer me. Try.” And people race off in trying to conquer.
All this that you so desperately try to get on top of, will be here. The only thing that won’t is you. You are the variable. It is not the trees that are moving. It is not the houses that are moving. You are moving. And that’s the truth.
Consciousness
Consciousness. To be conscious. Conscious that you are alive. Conscious that you exist. The most incredible wish that anybody could ever wish is coming true. Learn from consciousness. Awaken every day with admiration, and with a heart full.
Underneath the facade of this world, there is the simplest of wishes - to be happy.
How wonderful is this realm of joy. How wonderful is this realm of fulfillment.
How fortunate are those who walk in the company of joy, of peace, of truth.
Wish peace upon your existence
What is your expression of your existence?
What is it like for you? Can you smile? Not a smile for someone else, but for yourself. Smile with those big bright eyes and wish peace on your existence. Have you wished that peace for yourself?
You have been given a gift. If you do not accept it, it will be gone.
These little molecules that you are made of do not belong to you. They don't. They belong to this earth.
This is it. Shine.
