Темата е от приятел. Те не само стрелят професионално, но и за кеф. На иракчаните им е позволено да имат Калашников.
We also shoot alot her, we have a 150m range and we
have a whole warehouse full of captured insurgent weapons. When people
think of a terrorist weapon they think of AK47 but that is not true,
they use everything you can think of. I feel like a kid in a candy
story sometimes. I have now fired an MG42, the old Nazi maching gun.
An UZI, MP5, an old British Sten gun. And about 50 other types that I
will not bore you with. If you think Americans love guns we dont have
anything on Iraqis. This country has more guns then I have ever seen.
Iraqi kids as young as 10 know types and models of all vareints of
weapons. One of the constant topics with any Iraqi I meet is my M-4 or
my pistol. These people I talk with are good people, they are not
terrorist, Iraqis just love guns. They dont know how to shoot straight
though. I think they get there love of guns from movies, because they
want machine guns, and they only know one way to fire it; from the hip,
on full auto. Iraqi citizens are only authorized to own one AK47 per 18
year old person in the house. But the familes go out to farms on the
outskirts of Bagdad and shoot. It is usually a father and son trip.
The only problem with it is that if you catch somebody driving around in
a car with an AK it doesnt mean anything.
Funny story real quick, we built a pitch and put range on the FOB a
little while ago. It is about 100 meters long, all sand, with green
carpet for the green, but we do have a good time playing on it. It is
near the enterence to our compound but inside the wire. A mortar round
hit just to the left of our green and left a perfect sand trap. It was
the only one that was fired that day, and it hit right were we wanted it
to. So Thank you insurgents for our nice new sandtrap.
