Hi. I am a biologist doing my PhD that I've had to break off because of this pandemic to work on covid19. This man is describing homology here, not identical proteins. Viruses share similar proteins for the good reason that they have similar jobs that require doing. This means that the sequences of their DNA are very similar where they code for highly essential biological processes. There's a great tool online called BLAST, it's basically Google for DNA sequences. You can download Coronavirus and do the analysis yourself and find that among the 'search results' there is similarities between plenty of pathogens (I am not even aware HIV is high up the list) . This is the same for all viruses. This is no indication of tampering or foul play.. This man is known to like to stir up shit with the media and that's exactly what he's doing here.
