CANNES: What's Going On?
Cannes Festival president Gilles Jacob, artistic director Thierry Fremaux and managing director Veronique Cayla unveiled the line-up for the 58th edition of the Cannes Film Festival (May 11-22) this morning at a press conference in Paris.

Unfortunately Madonna's documentary directed by Jonas Akerlund is NOT in any category. The reason why the much anticipated presence won't happen at the moment, is still uncertain, though it has nothing to do with the quality of the movie and the artistic direction of this year edition of Cannes Festival.

It looks like Madonna camp are still trying to complete editing on the documentary to get it finished in time for Cannes. The recording studio that Madonna is using at the moment also does film and DVD editing/production. The studios have won many awards for their visuals and editing. Sure if something will change and get into Cannes, it will be a last minute surprise. Madonna's camp has yet to make any statement.

The Press Office at the Film Festival doesn't deny the chance to add any film to the final line-up.

Meanwhile, Thierry Frémaux was a special guest on Tv news on FRANCE 2 tv channel. The journalist asked Thierry "Who will be in the jury? Madonna?" "NO, not Madonna." he answered.
