A New York magazine reports that Madonna is set to accept her brother Chris Ciccone's invitation to appear in his debut movie. The singer will appear as herself in the film, a spoof on the fashion industry. In the scene she turns up at a fashion show and the publicists are so excited one accidentally hits her with a cell phone, the magazine reports. Madonna's reps confirmed the pair are in talks about the movie, but warns the diva is very busy these days with family and career and no final decision has yet been made. In more Madonna news, an appointments book, which the mother of two used in 1988, is up for sale at Sotheby's New York. The book contains telephone numbers of several celebrities. Many of the numbers are still current. Among the stars whose numbers are included in the book are Tom Cruise, Liz Taylor, Warren Beatty, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cher, Bruce Willis, George Harrison and Jane Fonda. The book also tracks her efforts to see then husband actor Sean Penn marking each rendezvous and his birthday with hearts. The pair split the following year. Only four days - during Thanksgiving weekend in November - are marked as being 'off.' Doodle watchers should note Madonna's are distinctly geometric and Lego-like. The 'datebook' is part of the Madonnabilia auction put together by Gotta Have It Collectibles in New York which says it gathered items from charity events, donations and Madonna herself. The top bid for the book is $3,500 and it can be viewed at gottahaveit.com. The internet auction starts 31 July and includes a rejection letter Madonna received when she was unknown. Finally Madonna kicked off the US leg of her Drowned Tour in Philadelphia, on Saturday night in front of 16,000 excited fans. She performed You'll See instead of Gone and extended Holiday by 30 seconds. Her 'Get Your Tits Our!' chant had been removed from the set on both Philly dates.
