Fredhopper provides enterprise search and merchandising software tailored to
the needs of online sales channels. Fredhopper's customers include many of the largest online sellers such as, Neckermann, Philips Electronics and Thomas Cook. Fredhopper is headquartered in the heart of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with offices in London, Boston and Brussels. Opportunities for

The Fredhopper Development team consists of enthusiastic professionals with many years experience in enterprise application development. The approach is
to build innovative, high quality, scalable web-based search solutions in a pragmatic way. The development environment is Linux/Unix based, but the final product is platform independent.
As a software developer you will be working in the development team to specify and develop new functionality for future releases of our search
software as well as constantly improving speed and scalability of the existing functionality.
Could you be a developer for Fredhopper?
Successful candidates are experienced java developers with main interests in web-applications (JSP, XML). Although no previous job-experience is required, you have worked on (professional) web applications before. Candidates will have a masters degree in computer sciences or related fields. A (additional) degree in math is a pre. You need to be able to clearly express yourself in English, both oral and in writing Experience consist of:
- programming experience with Java, JSP, XML
- Web-based, Enterprise applications (scalable for high number of users and data, high availability)
