Chamaedorea elegans - (Mart.) Liebm. ex Oersted
Family: Arecaceae/Palmae (Palm Family)
Common names: Parlour Palm

Humidity: Plants need a medium to high to thrive, though will grow ok with a lower humidity.
Pests: Mealy bug & Scale are a common pest of poorly growth plant or plants grown with a low humidity.
Propagation: Freshly sown seeds need to be kept slightly moist at all times, the addition of under tray heating will increase the rate of success. Offsets (suckers) should be taken when the plant is actively in growth, place into a (65% / 35%) mix of sand and peat, keep it moist and in a quite shaded position, reintroduce to higher light as the root begin to develop.
Care &Tips:- Red spider mite can be a major pest of this plant. Avoid gorwing this plant in a dry enviroment. Plant benefits from light showering
