Препращам поканата от Romanian Science Fiction&Fantasy Society за посещение на ROMCON 2011 в Румъния в началото на август.
ROMCON 2011 : The Romanian National Science Fiction Convention will be held between 5 -7th of August, on Atlantykron island on the Danube, (20 km north of Cernavoda), Romania.
Atlantykron/Capidava is a small picturesque island on the Danube, near the village and ancient Roman ruins of Capidava in Romania. A remote and wild island for most of the year… it is transformed into a special and almost magical place for a few days each summer.
ROMCON 2011 is organized by SRSFF (The Romanian Science Fiction&Fantasy) in cooperation with Atlantykron Summer Academy of Learning.

ACCOMODATION
The accommodation for the ROMCON 2011 participants will be at the Hotel Yahoo in Cernavoda or in tents on the island. The participation fee is 20 RON (4,75EUR) and will be paid on the spot.
Accommodation at Hotel Yahoo in Cernavoda:
■ accommodation capacity for participants : 40 beds
■ Double room price : 83 RON ( approx. 20 EUR) without breakfast and 115 RON (approx. 27,25 EUR) with breakfast included (41.5 RON/9,83EUR respectively 57.5 RON /13,65EUR per person /night)
■ Other facilities: telephone, TV, internet, air conditioning.
Transportation from the hotel to the Danube ferry will be provided (Atlantykron/Capidava island) at least twice daily (morning and evening), the cost is 5 RON/1,18EUR per day per person.
Accommodation on the island: tents. Accommodation in the tents costs are zero.
ROMCON tents accommodation capacity is up to 50 participants.
Two meals a day on the island, lunch and dinner (except breakfast at the hotel) is costing 40 RON/9,50EUR per day.

Note: Any possible changes in the prices of accommodation & local transport are beyond SRSFF will and will be announced in advance.
Transportation
From Outside Romania: For participants traveling from outside Romania by air, the recommended destination is the Bucharest Airport (OTP). From here you have two options:
A. Have the Academy arrange for to meet you and guide you to the program location. You can contact us at info@Atlantykron.org.
B. Use Romania’s public transportation systems (instructions below):
1. Arrive at Bucuresti Otopeni Airport (OTP). This is located about 16 kilometers north of the Bucuresti city center.
2. From the airport you take a bus or taxi to the Bucharest “Gara de Nord” train station. Driving time is about 25 minutes and cost about 2 Euro (8 RON) for a bus or 35 Euro (130 RON) for a taxi.
Travel Note: If you choose to travel by taxi when in Romania, please be sure to use official taxis and confirm the cost in advance with your driver. Official taxis can be identified by the registration markers in rear window.
3. From the Bucurest Gara de Nord station, take an express train to Cernavoda. This would take about two hours and should cost about 15 Euro or 55 RON.
4. From this train station it is necessary to travel to the village of Capidava for which there are two options. Take the bus which departs twice daily at 11:30 and 15:30 or you can hire a taxi to complete the last 25 minutes drive to the village. Cost about 2 Euro (8 RON) for a bus or 10 Euro (37 RON) for a taxi.
5. From the village it is a short walk and boat trip to the Academy, visible in the middle of the Danube River.
From Inside Romania: Travel by taxi or train to city of Cernavoda, the train station nearest the Academy, then follow steps 4 and 5 above.
Personal Automobiles: It is possible to travel by personal automobile to a location near the Academy, however, this is not encouraged. Since this is a wilderness location, the Academy cannot be responsible for loss or damage that might occur at parking locations off the island.
