LOGO DESIGN
A new event space and theater in New York City is actively seeking design submissions for its new logo. The winning design, which will be announced in late February, will be used on everything from our website to our brochures and business cards. This is an amazing opportunity for someone with a great sense of style to get involved in an exciting project from the start.
THE BIG PICTURE
Your challenge is to design a logo for 26, as well as for the Helen Mills Theater. YOU ARE DESIGNING TWO LOGOS. The two designs must be able to stand alone, as well as work in concept with each other. The logos we're looking for are fresh, yet sophisticated, and have a clean, contemporary look.
THE DETAILS
All submissions are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, 2005 YOU MUST SUBMIT EACH DESIGN IN BOTH COLOR AND BLACK-AND-WHITE. DESIGNS MAY BE SUBMITTED IN ANY IMAGE FORMAT (IE: JPEG, GIF, TIFF, PDF) HOWEVER, THE WINNING DESIGN MUST BE PRESENTED TO US IN EPS OR AI FORMAT. Submissions will be used for the sole purpose of selecting a winner of our contest. The rights to the winning logo will be solely owned by 26 and the Helen Mills Theater. All submissions must be original. YOU MAY SUBMIT MORE THAN ONE ENTRY.
THE VENUE
Conveniently located at street level on West 26th Street, 26 is an event and conference venue, as well as a center for the arts, At 5,000 square feet, the main floor is ideal for corporate and private functions, as well as trade and fashion shows, product launches and video shoots. Loft-like features include soaring white columns, 14-foot ceilings, architectural lighting and polished hardwood floors. With a fully equipped warming kitchen and an oversized bar, the event space can accommodate as many as 400 guests for cocktails and 200 for dinner. The lower level, accessible via the event space or a separate street entrance, is home to the 124-seat Helen Mills Theater. Wired to a full-service recording studio, the theater is the perfect location for hosting theatrical or musical performances or screening films, as well as conducting corporate meetings, seminars or conferences.
