1) in according with point number 8 and PS of nfo file:
Copy eds_id10.lic & eds_id10.opt files to your "x:\eds\i-deas10\sec" directory.
Edit eds_id10.lic and change "this_host" to your computer name and change the DAEMON PATH on line 2 (both paths) to your installed path.
If you have trouble finding deamon edit 2nd line in license so it will read this:

DAEMON eds_id10 x:\eds\i-deas10\sec\eds_id10.exe options=x:\eds\i-deas10\sec\eds_id10.opt

(i.e add the full path) to deamon, not just to the directory.

2) Open LMTools. If you don't have LMTools, go here to download:
ftp://ftp.globes.com/flexlm/windows/current/i86_n3/lmtools.exe

3) in [Service/License File] tab check "Configuration Using Services"

4) in [Config Services] tab enter:
"Sevise Name=IDEAS" or whatever you want
"Path to the lmgrd.exe file=x:\eds\i-deas10\sec\lmgrd.exe"
"Path to the License file=x:\eds\i-deas10\sec\eds_id.lic"
"Path to the debug.log file=x:\eds\i-deas10\sec\log.log"
Check "Use Services" and "Start Server at Power Up" then click "Seve Service" button and close LMTools.

5) Edit the file x:\eds\i-deas10\bin\Setup_varbs.cmd and replace the path to the licence file with x:\eds\i-deas10\sec\eds_id.lic (look for licence.dat to find the line to modify)

6) Open "System Properties" window (for XP users Start\My Copmuter\right click+Properties) and go to [Advanced] tab.
Then press "Environment Variables" button.
Under "System Variables" click "New".
In "New Syatem Variable" window enter:
"Variable name=LM_LCENCE_FILE"
"Variable value=7610@this_host" (this_host is your computer mame

7) Reboot

8) You are now ready to launch I-DEAS, but there is the last trick: go to x:\eds\i-deas10\bin and run i-deasogl.cmd file

9) If you wanna launch IDEAS from shortcut generated from installation program, play with sistem variables %HOMEDRIVE% %HOMEPATH% or replace "start in" from "%HOMEDRIVE%\%HOMEPATH%" to x:\eds\i-deas\bin in IDEAS OpenGL shortcut.
