Тук във форума преди няколко дена се водеше дискусия и ето две от мненията които сигурно ще са интересни за Митко: (директно ги копирам)
Bearing or kogellager.
I would put my money in Veloche hub with bearings (industrial lagers).Cheaper for maintenance and for sure it will give you more kms. before something goes wrong.I know it from my experience.
By the way, regarding Campa; The fact of the matter is, that aside from a couple of insignificant cosmetic details, and 16 grams, there is absolutely no difference between a Daytona-Centaur hub and a Record hub.
Daytona is what they called them in 2001. Centaur is what they call them in 2002. Who knows what they're calling them in 2006-7. But only the name on the box has changed. That's all.And the price ...
Campa Athena and the new generation Campa hubs have a completely different design. They are not comparable at all. You can't compare the quality of nowadays and the 70's and 80's. The reason I said what I said is because last year I was head mechanic of one of the Pro Continental teams.I built wheels for them with Campa Record , Chorus, Centaur and Miche primato hubs. Most of the problems occurred with the Campa hubs. Half way the season I had to replace the cups, conuses and bearings. Very surprised I was when I discovered that Campa Record , Chorus and Centaur all had the same cups, conusses and kogels.I think the price of a set of kogels ,conuses and cups for one hub was like 35-40 Euro. Plus the time spent....
The wheels with Miche Primato hubs where running without any problems. And they are still running. For two Enduro or NTN bearings( Miche primato is a hub with bearings) the price is like 25 Euro. You can put on one set of Miche primato hubs 100.000 km or more if you would like. Just swop the bearings, 5 minutes work... Regarding Athena hubs, I built bearings into them, I still ride the wheels with those hubs in my single speed bike. (more than 50.000 kmrs)
One more thing; in one of your earlier reactions, you mentioned that Miche primato is one of the cheapest Miche hubs. I'm afraid you mislead the Forum public. Miche Primato Syntesi is the second hub form the top of the range of the Miche products. The cheapest Miche hub is monolithic box. www.miche.it
